Our Standard Process

Every job is different, but we do our best to complete work within 6-8 hours
1.
Prepare Surface | Up to 4 Hours

We start by thoroughly cleaning the surface and masking off the surrounding areas to protect all surfaces. Toilets and appliances are also removed if necessary. If repairs to tile and tubs need to be made, these are completed prior to the reglazing process.

2.
Etch | 1-2 Hours

To allow the coating to last and adhere properly, the tub and/or tile must be etched and prepared properly.

3.
Apply Primer and Coating | 2 Hour

The final step is three coats of primer finished with 3 coats of a commercial glaze color of your choosing. We carefully apply to ensure a smooth, seamless finish. Your reglazed bathroom will now last for many years.

What is bathroom reglazing?

Bathroom reglazing (also called refinishing or resurfacing) is a process that applies a commercial grade, durable, and long lasting coating that restores the surface of bathtubs, tiles, sinks, and showers. Reglazing provides old, chipped, stained, cracked bathrooms a modern refresh with a like-new appearance at a fraction of the cost of a remodel.

How long does the process of reglazing take?

Most projects are completed within 6 - 8 hours in a single day, with 12-24 hours needed for the coating to fully cure before use. We pay attention to the details during masking off and prepping the surrounding areas of your bathroom to ensure nothing needs to be redone after completion of the reglazing project.

How long does reglazing last?

When professionally applied and properly maintained, surfaces can last 10 - 15 years. DIY kits do not last nearly as long as professional reglazing. Our service ensures proper application and ventilation techniques, with a smoother finish, stronger adhesion, and longer durability. Our team is also prepared to handle and repair damaged and cracked areas that, if fixed improperly, could cause leaking, mold, and further costly damage.

Is reglazing safe?

Yes, however there are strong fumes during installation that our team is prepared to handle using proper ventilation and protective equipment to ensure safety. After curing, the surface is completely non-toxic.

What types of surfaces can be reglazed and/or repaired?

Reglazing works on porcelain, fiberglass, ceramic, acrylic, and cast iron surfaces, including bathtubs, tiles, sinks, and showers. If you're not sure what surface your tub is, give us a call and we can help determine the surface and the correct repair needed.

How much does bathroom reglazing cost?

The cost varies based on the size and condition of the surface, but is typically 75-80% cheaper than a full replacement or remodel. Fill out our form or call us today for a free estimate. We can quickly determine an estimate based on a couple photos of the bathroom.

Can you change the color of my bathtub or tiles?

We absolutely can. While white is the most popular option, our reglazing service allows you to update the color of your tub, tiles, shower, or sink to match your new bathroom aesthetic.

What's the difference between reglazing and painting?

While both reglazing and painting can change the look of the bathtub, reglazing is a professional refinishing process that provides durability and longevity, while painting is a temporary cosmetic fix. Painting lacks the durability and bonding strength of professional reglazing. Reglazing involves deep cleaning, repairing chips and cracks, and applying evenly a specialized industrial coating creating a smooth, glossy, and long lasting finish. Painting may be cheaper up front, but is not meant to handle regular cleaning and use, and is prone to chipping and peeling over time. Reglazing overall is a better investment for long term use to provide your bathroom with a second life.

Is your service warrantied?

Yes. We warrantee residential work for 3 years from the date of completion. Our warrantee covers peeling and discoloration and excludes man-made damage such as chipping and scratches.
